육고깃집(A meat restaurant)
Meat Restaurant is a well-known place for office workers near Hallim-eup(한림읍) on Jeju Island. I remember what the boss said when I visited here before. He said that we offer only the best meat carefully to our guests. And the staff changed the charcoal every time the new meat went up on the grill.
This is not a fancy place to look at, and the store is not big, but people who have been there have no choice but to keep going. It opens at 5 p.m. on Mondays and Saturdays, and waiting usually starts around 4 p.m., so those who want to go should hurry. And the prepared ingredients can run out quickly, so you have to arrive by 5 at the latest. For your information, I went late at 7 o'clock at first, but I turned around because I ran out of meat.
Pork is not ordered additionally, so you have to choose carefully when ordering it at once, and you have to predict how much to eat. Usually, you can ask the boss or the staff and order considering the quantity. In our case, we usually ordered300g of pork ribs(돼지갈비 근고기) and 1,000g of bone ribs(뼈갈비세트) based on 4 people.
And there's a rule for this restaurant. The pork ribs and bone set should be turned upside down every 40 seconds, water and side dishes should be self-cooked, and the meat should be cooked by yourself. Usually, people who eat here turn the meat upside down with a timer set on their phone, so please refer to this and try delicious meat.
한림칼국수 본점(Hanlim Kalguksu main store)
"한림칼국수 본점" is a noodle soup restaurant in Hanrim-eup, Jeju-do, and it is a restaurant that sells porridge with noodle soup with brown turban shell, chicken Kalguksu.
If you came to Jeju Island and drank, it would be good to have noodle soup with brown turban shell and 'bomal jeon' for hangover. You'll be able to get rid of your hangover at once.
You should be aware of this because waiting is usually 30 minutes to 1 hour during lunchtime, and if you want to wait, you can order at the kiosk inside the store and wait after receiving the waiting number.
